Mr. Takayuki Takeya and Mr. Yuji Oniki encapsulating their visions in the Samurai Predator has marked Hot Toys’ first artist collaboration projects. As an icon of cross-cultural projects, the Samurai Predator first appeared in 2011. Over a decade later in 2024, Mr. Takeya incorporates the concept of "Akazonae" to the new 1/6th scale Akaoni Samurai Predator Collectible Figure, taking over your 1/6th scale collection with a violent storm of red.
This time, with a bold color change departing from the initial release, the Akaoni Samurai Predator Sixth Scale Collectible Figure is designed to present to fans an "Akazonae" impression with red dominating the main armor pieces including the helmet, shoulder and chest armors, arms and legs gauntlets and waist armors. Re-imagining the Predator in Alien vs. Predator with a Samurai appearance, the warrior elements are well played out on details through the head with articulated jaw and interchangeable mandibles; sculpted lamellar skirt; weapons including articulated shoulder cannon, metal samurai sword, broken sword to recreate corroded look, set of four swords accessory, Alien tongues trophy and Alien head trophy. The greatly detailed diorama base with Alien’s corpse finely completes the collectible by telling the story of Samurai Predator’s victory over Alien.

The B-314 Clipper was a long-range flying boat produced by the Boeing between 1938 and 1941. The B-314 design used the massive wing of Boeing’s earlier XB-15 bomber prototype, and was considered one of the largest aircraft of the time. The massive wing design helped to achieve the range necessary for flights across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The B-314 was designed for Pan Am, they requested a flying boat with unprecedented range capability that could augment the airline's trans-Pacific Martin M-130. Pan Am's "Clippers" were built for "one-class" luxury air travel, a necessity given the long duration of transoceanic flights. The seats could be converted into 36 bunks for overnight accommodation; with a cruise speed of only 188 miles per hour, many flights lasted over 12 hours. Twelve B-314 were built for Pan Am; the one was retired in 1946, it had accumulated more than a million flight miles.
This specific model is painted in the Pan Am paint scheme. Pan American World Airways was founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West FL and Havana, Cuba. The airline has become a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems.
This handcrafted model is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
