Ruthless and terrifying, the military forces of the Galactic Empire are the means by which Emperor Palpatine enforces and maintains his rule of terror throughout the galaxy. After Ozzel committed a fatal mistake during the hunt for the Rebels, Darth Vader rather dramatically 'dismissed' Ozzel, and promoted Piett to Admiral. Piett served in this capacity during the Battle of Endor, where he perished when an A-wing starfighter crashed into the Executor's bridge.
