Originally published as World War II was ending, the stories reprinted in ALL STAR COMICS ARCHIVES VOL. 6 are historical snapshots of the emotions that many Americans were experiencing at that time. Mixing tales in which the Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, and the rest of the Justice Society of America fought against alien robots, traveled through time and battled sentient paintings with adventures that touched on the emotional return of our soldiers and the prevalent anti-German sentiment, these stories simultaneously entertained and mirrored the collective consciousness of the nation.
