Through his years of undying servitude and honor, he quickly rises through the military ranks with a distinguished military career and awarded the rank of "Brevet" Brigadier General of Volunteers and placed in command of the 2nd Brigade and 3rd Calvary Divisions at Gettysburg only a short two years later.
