Product Backstory
As one Slayer dies, the next chosen one is awakened to take up the mantle of the Slayer.

Engaged as the replacement when Buffys fellow Slayer Kendra is killed, Faith comes to Sunnydale after the death of her Watcher at the hand of an ancient and powerful vampire a vampire that has followed her from New York to the Hellmouth. Joining Buffy and her Scooby Gang, Faith defeats the vamp but soon realizes that Sunnydale may not be big enough for a second slayer.
