Spyro is the famous purple dragon from the PlayStation era that debuted back in 1998. He was also considered by many as a former mascot of the console due to his sheer popularity. As a youngster, Spyro is known for his rebellious yet courageous attitude. With the entire Dragon Kingdom under Gnasty Gnorc's crystallization spell, it is up to Spyro to save everyone, utilizing his fire breath and charge attacks as his offensive skills. To land ondifficult-to-reach areas, Spyro also has the ability to glide.

Accompanying Spyro in his journey is Sparx the Dragonfly, his best friend. Without Sparx, Spyro would easily die with one hit from an enemy. Together, they make an unstoppable duo that would prove to be a problem for Gnasty Gnorc and his minions.
