In the games, fighters compete in the King of Iron Fist tournament for control of the Mishima Zaibatsu corporation, using each character's unique talents and skills against their opponents. Following on the release of the first Bishoujo statue of Christie Monteiro, Kotobukiya is proud to present the first Tekken Fine Art Statue: YOSHIMITSU! One of the few characters to appear in every single Tekken game, the masked ninja is a fearsome fighter.
An honorable warrior and leader of the Manji Clan, Yoshimitsu stands victorious on the severed head of a gigantic mechanoid! Wearing his unique and distinctive armor, the Tekken fighter holds his two swords in triumph, waiting for his next opponent. Yoshimitsu's demonic armor is amazingly detailed with multiple textures including metals and sculpted "fabric," layered plating, intricate piping and designs, buckles, straps, and much more. Matching the varied sculpt is a fantastic paint job capturing the one of a kind look; burnished purple and gold armor plates cover bluish gray clothing and are decorated with silvers, blues, and white. Yoshimitsu also has an enormous circular device behind his head and two detailed scabbards, one mounted on his back and the other at his hip.
Sculpted by Japanese master artist Takayuki Takeya, Yoshimitsu stands nearly 14 inches tall (1/6 scale) atop the giant head for an overall height of over 21 ½ inches! That mechanoid also shows off an incredible sculpt with severe battle damage and gory organic and technological innards spilling out onto the battlefield. Created in 1963 by a group of comic book luminaries (including Stan Lee and Jack Kirby), Tony Stark was a rich playboy whose capture during the Cold War led him to create a technologically advanced powered armor suit bristling with weapons and science-fiction gadgets. Best known for fighting enemies such as Mandarin and Crimson Dynamo, Stark would over the years combat his own personal demons as well, making him a very nuanced and interesting character popular the world over. While he would continue to improve and upgrade his armors, the brilliant industrialist/hero would also help found the premiere Marvel superhero group which inspires his latest appearance: IRON MAN CLASSIC AVENGERS! Coinciding with the upcoming Avengers film in 2012, this series celebrates the classic versions of some of Marvel's greatest heroes.
Wearing his classic red and gold armor, Iron Man fights alongside his fellow Avengers to defend the Earth and humanity. Standing on uneven terrain Stark lunges to his left with his arm outstretched to unleash a powerful Repulsor Ray blast at his unseen enemies! The technological wonder of the Iron Man armor is intricately sculpted with all of the classic components you know and love from the stoic faceplate to the circular generator on his chest, distinctive hip pods, and the bands on his extremities. The suit's armored chest piece ripples with muscles, while its upper arms and legs conform to Stark's athletic physique. Having exiled himself to hide from the evil Empire, the former head of the Jedi Order waits on the swampy planet of Dagobah where one day a young Jedi hero will find him. Meanwhile Yoda keeps up his Force skills by levitating rocks and other items from his perch on a stunted tree. Wearing his old ragged robes and carrying his gimer stick cane, the diminutive Jedi Master is intricately sculpted with all of the wrinkled green character's ancient charm. Yoda's tree is decorated with an incredibly detailed texture and convoluted vines, while the floating rocks are craggy and broken. The venerable hero features two interchangeable heads for your choice of display options: eyes open and patiently observant or closed in intense concentration. As with other recent ARTFX releases, Yoda's base comes equipped with LEDs; the small lamp on the floating rock and the power generator on the ground both light up!
