"Since relocating his operations to the newly constructed Stark Tower in New York City, the Repulsor-powered hero, Iron Man, has been in more frequent contact with S.H.I.E.L.D. As the eccentric billionaire and brilliant inventor Tony Stark, he serves as an advisor to Nick Fury's peacekeeping and intelligence agency. But when a new crisis leads to the activation of the Avengers initiative, Stark readily powers up his newest armor, the Iron Man mark VII, which utilizes the latest in laser targeted armor deployment and integrated repulsor technology.

The Iron Man Mark VII helmet seen in The Avengers was made by special effects studios, Legacy Effects. The EFX master patterns were made from the original master molds that were used to make the screen-used helmets. This helmet was custom fitted to Robert Downey Jr. to fit snugly so that it would not move or wobble when worn. The helmet is made in 3 removable pieces, just like the original prop. The faceplate is held in place with magnets and in the screen-used helmets, magnets were also placed on the top of the helmet to hold the faceplate in the open position. The helmet appeared to open and closed by a digital process known as ""morphing"" Also, the faceplace and chin piece were plated in real gold!

The EFX Iron man helmet is a faithful reproduction of the iconic helmet worn by Tony Stark in The Avengers.

2020 marks the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the great Japanese actor, and his country is dedicating exhibitions, projections, and celebrations to him for the whole year. Mifune, together with director Akira Kurosawa, can be justifiably said to embody the golden age of Japanese cinema: in 1950, their victory at the Venice Film Festival with Rashōmon brought their art to public attention in Europe and worldwide. Still today, Mifune is the most famous Japanese actor of all time, and his personality has forever become part of cinema legend. He was an actor for which there were no limits, with a vast degree of professional skill and insight in researching the parts that he played. In fact, he was the only actor that Kurosawa, a master obsessed with perfection, respected, to the point of granting him total freedom in the films in which he starred. He provided a unique, unforgettable portrait of the “rebel without a cause”, the outcast rōnin who represented a break from the classic, stereotyped samurai. Toshirō Mifune will always be the Prince of Japanese Cinema, and the most iconic portrait of the Land of the Rising Sun.

In order to create this statuette, we worked in close contact with the actor’s grandson Rikiya, who gave us his unstinting cooperation in order to make this piece unique in its class. Intense research on the family archives, working on images, many of which have never previously been seen, and the inspiration provided by his most famous films, helped make this sculpture a concentrated episode of perfection in all details. By means of elements such as the samurai’s physical posture, detailed research on the kimono and weapons, his hair, and a careful study of facial expression, we have reached a level of excellence that brings this statuette close to the dream of being able to see the great Toshirō Mifune in action once again. Appreciating the honour of being able to give this small jewel to all those who love great cinema, we would like to dedicate this piece to the immense contribution that Japanese culture has left us.

Artist Statement: I have always loved the design and colors of SNEAKERS. The bright colors and intricate designs are the same reasons why I love COMIC BOOKS/SUPER HEROES. Also, there is always the story behind a certain Super Hero. Their SECRET ORIGIN. The amazing story of how a character got his/her powers. Or the incredible circumstances that caused a character to become a Super Hero. Most sneakers also have their own “Secret Origin”. The process that it took a designer to get to the final look of a sneaker. What inspired the look of a shoe. What influenced the use of certain materials or colors. So many things in common that I always felt needed to be explored.

These vinyl figures are what I call S.H.S. aka Super Heroes in Sneakers- two things that meant a lot to me growing up and still do to this day. Two completely different cultures mashed together to create a new visual of things most people wouldn’t normally see together. I always wondered what kicks my favorite Super Hero would wear. That’s why I would create these illustrations and now DESIGNER COLLECTIBLE TOYS!

“Truth, Justice, and the American Way.” CLARK is the most POWERFUL Hero in the DC UNIVERSE and the symbol of HOPE that all Heroes rally behind. It was only natural when designing the DC TRINITY that he be the first art figure. For this piece, I wanted to showcase CLARK’s strength and power like never before. I wanted to depict him flying high, about to swoop into ACTION. I decided to pay my respects to the classic cover art of SUPERMAN #1 and design CLARK in a similar pose. I created the illusion of him flying by using his cape as the base of the figure. Now CLARK floats above METROPOLIS wearing Sneakers that only someone with great power can wear. Sneakers fit for a Hero who FLIES HIGH and uses all his STRENGTH to save the day.
