A new 1/6 scale weapon kit is hitting the streets. Item No. 75023 features a German mortar, a variant that is perhaps as not as well known as others that were employed in WWII. The kurzer 8cm Granatwerfer 42 (abbreviated to kz 8cm GrW 42) was developed as a lighter version of the standard 8cm GrW 34 mortar, and it was commonly referred to as Stummelwerfer (“stump-thrower”) by troops. The smaller size made it particularly useful for German paratroopers who needed a weapon that was easier to move around, but still offered more punch than the diminutive 5cm leGrW 36. It had a shorter barrel than the standard 8cm mortar (barrel length is 747mm), but it could still fire twice as far a round that weighed 3.5x the earlier 5cm mortar. Furthermore, at 26.5kg, it was half the weight of the leGrW 36. Maximum range was in the order of 1100m. Produced from 1941-45, the kz 8cm GrW 42 could be broken down into three loads for transport. Its effectiveness meant it served with Wehrmacht and other units as well as the airborne users it was originally intended for.
Dragon’s 1/6 scale kit is an exquisite recreation of this German mortar. It mimics a working mortar in that the bipod can be folded up and the legs adjusted to whatever angle the modeler wishes. This working mechanism means the mortar tube can “fire” at different angles. The mortar is accurately engineered in plastic parts, but the kit also includes 8cm mortar rounds, plus a barrel cleaning rod. By offering all these accessories, Dragon allows modelers to produce a dynamic vignette with this mortar as the centerpiece.

One of the most famous and recognizable weapons used by British forces during WWII was the Bren Gun, a light machine gun of .303 caliber. Dragon is offering a 1/6 scale plastic kit of this famous and effective weapon that originated from a Czech design known as the ZB vz.26. The name Bren is derived from the city of Brno where it was originally produced. Specific British modifications included a curved magazine for the British .303 cartridge as well as a flash suppressor on the muzzle. The gas-operated weapon could achieve a rate of fire of 480-540 rounds per minute with an effective range of 550m. It was ideally operated by a crew of two (a gunner and loader) but in combat it was often fired by just one soldier on its integral bipod.
Dragon’s model Bren Gun is fully detailed in 1/6 scale. Such is the level of detail that even bullets inside the magazine are molded in place by slide molds. However, what sets this British light machine gun apart is the inclusion of an accompanying tripod, which although rarely seen in combat, offers model-makers something unique. This tripod allowed the weapon to be used in an anti-aircraft role, or it could alternatively be configured for sustained fire against ground targets. The versatile tripod in the kit permits modelers to depict either role. The weapon also comes complete with a carrying case containing extra 30-round magazines. This Bren Gun and tripod mount can be displayed as a stand alone item, or it could easily be combined with a suitable British or Commonwealth figure.

Up for grabs is a nice 1985 Cobra Viper GI Joe figure, he comes mint on the sealed card! Its in great shape with no creasess and no dings or dents to the bubble just typical minor scracthes on the front of the bubble as is usual with these. It is very clean and has vibrant colors. The front of the card has some small marks by the hang tab and some sticker residue from where the price sticker was. Very minor edgewear and on the back there are tiny spiderviens by the top hang tab and on the part where the top of the bubble is.Please see the images and ask any questions prior to buying or offering. We do not accept returns. This will be shipped inside a protective case which will go inside a box that will then go inside another box surrounded by peanut foam to ensure it gets to you in the same condition you are seeing it now. Kotobukiya's exclusive ARTFXJ lineup (a bold new expansion designed "to bring classic Japanese characters to their fans worldwide") continues with the next character from 2010's reboot of the classic anime and manga Trigun feature film Badlands Rumble. Following Vash is the fan-favorite NICHOLAS D. WOLFWOOD! A priest and gunslinger, Wolfwood fights with honor but has no qualms about killing (unlike Vash). Nicholas is best known for his incredible weapon which he brings to bear here in the ARTFXJ lineup. The priest adopts a wide-legged stance, turning to his left and staring down his arm as he aims a pistol at his target. Held by a strap behind him is the giant cross-shaped gun known as The Punisher, appearing as it does in the film complete with tattered wrapping and straps. Nicholas wears his iconic black suit, and a cigarette dangles from his open mouth. Wolfwood too comes with removable sunglasses so you can display him with or without them! Sculpted by Tatsuya Hattori, the gunfighter stands nearly 8 inches tall (1/8 scale) on a specially designed Trigun logo base.
