After completing the Air Force Academy, Carol Danvers was recruited into the C.I.A., where she encountered special intelligence agent Logan and fought against the Hellfire Club with him. Later, Carol became the director of security for N.A.S.A. and met the Kree alien warrior Mar-Vell, known as Captain Marvel. The two were forever bonded when the explosion of a Kree Psyche-Magneton melded their genetic structures. The incident left Mar-Vell unchanged but morphed Carol's genes into a perfect hybrid of Kree and human and imparted in her all of Mar-vell's knowledge and training. Through this transformation, Ms. Marvel was born.
