"The Laird Super Solution was a racing biplane designed and built for the Cleveland Speed Foundation by E. M. “Mattie” Laird. It had a large radial engine and an extremely faired windshield, and was similar in appearance to the Gee Bee. The Super Solution was an advanced design for the time because of the relatively clean aerodynamic construction and tight engine cowling. Work on the LC-DW Super Solution began on July 8, 1931. The aircraft was test flown on August 22 by Mattie Laird at Fishborn Field in Chicago, near the Laird Factory. The Super Solution was fitted with complete instrumentation for cross country and blind flying. It featured a new fresh air system that consisted of two vents placed at the leading edge of the top wing, well outside the range of engine exhaust, which channeled fresh air into the cockpit. Laird provided two different engines for the Super Solution. For the cross-country Bendix Race, where steady power at high altitudes would be the key, the airplane would use a direct-drive engine. For the closed-course Thompson Race, a 3:2 geared-drive engine would give the best flat-out power. Jimmy Doolittle and the Super Solution won the Bendix Race with an elapsed time of 9 hours, 10 minutes, and 21 seconds. During the Thompson Race, however, the engine encountered problems and Doolittle had to land the Super Solution after the seventh lap to avoid a complete engine failure. "

"The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is an American three-engine medium- to long-range widebody airliner, with two engines mounted on underwing pylons and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. The model was a successor to the company's DC-8 for long-range operations, and competed in the same markets as the Airbus A300, Boeing 747, and Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, which has a similar layout to the DC-10. Production of the DC-10 ended in December 1988 with 386 delivered to airlines and 60 to the U.S. Air Force as air-to-air refueling tankers, designated the KC-10 Extender. The DC-3 was designated by many names, infact, all are considered their official names; its manufacturer called it the ""Skytrain"" and airlines simply called i the ""Three""; the US Army called it the ""C-47""; the US Navy called it the ""R4D"" and was designated as ""Dakota"" by the British. It was referred by many pilots and was fondly called as the ""Gooney Bird."" It was considered to be one of the four most significant weapons of the War."

The C-90 King Air has a pressurized cabin and has a maximum seating capacity of 10 people, including the pilot. "The Cessna Citation X is currently the fastest business jet and flying civilian airplane in the world with a traveling speed of up to 605 mph. In October 1990, the National Business Aviation Association Convention in New Orleans announced the development of the Citation X. The certification of the Cessna Citation X was delayed several times. The main reasons for the delays were the avionics and the engine integration failure to the aircraft, the engines also didn't pass the bird strike criteria and directional stability challenges. The certification was finally approved on June 3, 1996. In June 1996, the first Citation X was delivered to Arnold Palmer, a golfer and avid Cessna customer. "The A-36 Bonanza Beechcraft model is a general aviation aircraft introduced in 1947 by the Beech Aircraft Corporation. As of 2007, it is still being produced by Hawker Beechcraft. There are more than 17,000 Bonanzas that have been built. The A-36 Bonanza Beechcraft model was designed by a team led by Ralph Harmon. "The Cessna 206 Stationair is a six-seat single-engine general aviation aircraft with fixed landing gear used in commercial air service and for personal use. It is also used for aerial photography, skydiving and other utility purposes. Originally developed from the popular retractable-gear Cessna 210, the 206 has a powerful engine, rugged construction and a large cabin that has made it a popular bush plane. "The Boeing 757 is a medium-range, transcontinental commercial airplane manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes and was designed for Eastern Airlines and British Airways to replace the Boeing 727. The 757 was originally designated as the 7N7. It has transatlantic range and was one of the earliest ETOPS rated airliners. The 757 utilizes many of the same components as the wide body 767, aircrews and maintenance personnel can quickly be cross-trained from one type to another. 757 has the same fuselage diameter as the previous 707, 727 and 737. The 757 was the first Boeing airliner launched with non-US engines, Rolls-Royce RB211-535 but another option was later offered, the Pratt & Whitney PW2000. "B767-400 Delta Boeing is a stretched development of the popular 767-300ER, designed to replace early A300, A310 and 767 twins used on transcontinental services and DC-10-30s and L-1011 trijets used for intercontinental work. It competes with the A330-200. Compared to the 767-300, the 767-400ER's wing features 2.34m (7ft 8in) long raked wingtips which improve aerodynamic efficiency. Winglets were originally considered but the wingtip extensions proved more efficient. The wing is actually made from increased gauge aluminum with thicker spars. The B767-400 Delta Boeing features a 777 style advanced flight deck with six color multifunction displays, which can present information in the same format as earlier 767s, allowing a common type certificate. The 767 sold very well in from late 1980s to the late 1990s, with a decrease during the recession in the early 1990s. After strong sales in 1997, sales have declined significantly, due to the economic recession of the early 2000s, increased competition from Airbus, and the recent emergence of a direct replacement program, the Boeing 787. Boeing has kept the line open due to KC-767 tanker program, which use the 767 airframe. The Boeing 767-400 Delta Boeing is the final extended variant that was launched in 1997 on an order for Delta Air Lines and Continental Airlines to replace their aging Lockheed L-1011 and McDonnell Douglas DC-10 fleets. Orders were also placed by Kenya Airways and ILFC but these were eventually canceled. It was again stretched 21.1 ft for a total of 201.4 ft. It also saw a wingspan increase of 14.3 feet over the previous two variants and is the only 767 variant to also feature ""raked"" wingtips, which increase fuel efficiency. It was introduced into service in 2000."

The first 314, the Honolulu Clipper, entered service in January 1939. Pacific Clipper was enroute to New Zealand during the outbreak of war in the Pacific. In June 24, 1939, the Yankee Clipper had flown across the Atlantic on a route from Southampton to New York with intermediate stops at Foynes, Ireland, Botwood, Newfoundland and Shediac, New Brunswick. Its maiden flight was on the 22nd of October 1956 but it was introduced commercially in 1959. Its primary users are the United States Army, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Air Force, and Philippine Armed Forces. The Huey, as it is commonly known, became famous for its use in the Vietnam War. The “U” stands for Utility as compared to Attack and the Cargo helicopters. In 1959, the Huey was first used by the military and in 1962 it went into triservice production and became the UH-1. The UH-1 has a lot of variants.
