The VISOR (an acronym for Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement) was a medical prosthetic used by the Federation to aid with blindness and visual impairment. It gave users visual acuity far beyond typical human ability, into other spectrums including infrared and ultraviolet.

The VISOR, as seen in the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series and the 1994 film, Star Trek: Generations, was worn by Helmsman and subsequently Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge, played by Levar Burton. Multiple props were produced, with various revisions and changes made to the design over its long tenure. There was no single definitive VISOR prop.

Factory Entertainment’s VISOR prop replica has been created after careful study of resources in the Paramount archives, as well as authenticated props in private collections. The replica is intended to capture all VISOR props as they appeared in seasons 2 through 5 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, in a single blended execution.

The frame of the replica is cast from an aluminum alloy, while the rods and wire mesh are made from brass. It also features magnetic red neural output pods with screen accurate red prismatic tape, with two options: protruding or recessed, as seen on screen in different iterations of the prop. Each replica includes a museum style acrylic display case, a sequentially numbered metal plaque and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) booklet.

Seen here as he first beams aboard to rejoin the Enterprise crew, Bones was perhaps transported straight from the dance floor and is dressed casually in his white jumpsuit with gold medallion, a full, bushy beard and a large Western belt buckle on his leather belt. This EXO-6 1:6-scale action figure re-creates this iconic character in exquisite 1:6 detail. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, every element is authentically reproduced with an open necked one-piece suit revealing the good doctor's ample chest hair. His hands feature sculpted on rings that he wore as accessories for his arrival on the Enterprise. The original portrait sculpt of DeForest Kelley captures the bearded McCoy at his disgruntled best.
